As most artists know accidents play an important role in art. In fact several of the artists with whom I share a studio have little or no image in their minds when they start a painting, they just make it a habit of inviting disaster to come up and help the creative proces. I don't go this far in my work, I'm more of a thinker strugling on to paint wat is already in my head. Luckily this never works: accidental brushstrokes, wrong colours or whatever often result in a marked improvement on my conceptual approach. Thank god I'm a sloppy painter.
Anyway, all that to confirm that I would pass your "accident" as a fine piece of art. That said, I must warn you, I have absolutely no papers that would alow me to be a judge of anything, certainly not art!
