have installed new version and here is the result:
after zooming it goes grey:

i have cleared cache and restarted, but still no terrain.
i have uninstalled/redownloaded GE, but no healing...

now what?

EDIT: solving by Lucia:
switch to DirectX as your video renderer. (Tools>Options> 3d viewer)
