Head-to-head contest (minus third party votes) for the 2000 presidential election.

This KMZ file is about 1 megabyte. Election data could not be matched to precinct boundaries in Cabell County and a few other spots.

Use Ctrl-Click on the map to display a balloon popup with voting and demographic stats for a specific precinct surrounding or near the clicked point.

Since there are only about 1900 precincts, it is possible to view half of the counties (through Marion County) using the Google Map link -- much faster with Firefox.

Precincts are sorted by county into separate folders fo allow for faster display and easier export to Google Maps -- like in this map of Kanawah County (Charleston)

As in the above Google Map, you may wish to make the colors a little more transparent for Google Maps. You can do this by doing a search and replace on the statewide KML file -- search for <color>b0 and change to <color>7f
