This KMZ contains an overlay showing Texas Hurricane Risk Zones.

Zones correlate with hurricane strength categories 1-5 (see Saffir-Simpson scale following)
and the wind/surge damage associated. Risk zones of higher hurricane strength categories also
include the zones of lower hurricane strength. For example, locations within zones at risk from
a category 3 hurricane also include the 1 and 2 categories/zones.

Zone 1: 74-95 mph winds, 4-5 feet approx. storm surge;
Zone 2: 96-110 mph winds, 6-8 feet approx. storm surge;
Zone 3: 111-130 mph winds, 9-12 feet approx. storm surge;
Zone 4: 131- 155 mph winds, 13-18 feet approx. storm surge;
Zone 5: over 155 mph winds, over 18 feet approx. storm surge
