The satellite imagery is not government satellite image but Isis-Geoeye-DigitalGlobe imagery. I looked up the
source and have now replaced the original image captured from a TV screen with the published data. Commercial satellite imagery is limited by law to a certain maximum resolution. Government imagery is not. So this is the best the public will see.
And you will notice it does not match exactly. It is photographed from a different angle and try as you might you can't quite get everything (roads, ridges, features) to line up. But it is a good enough match to tell you are certainly looking at the same area.
