Hi EugeneF!
One more information for you about that discussion in our thread for those "Long Range ABM Systems".
We discussed the shape of that structures and the reliability of the numbers of sites. You know that "globalsecurity" is providing pictures of that former Galosh Sites. There are five pictures of them on their website.
Due to the information of Mr.Podvig we already discussed that one of them (Kurilovo) is most probably no ex-ABM Site at all and that they made mistakes when taking that pictures from "fas.org" (I think they were the first one who published them).
Meanwhile I was able to correlate the "last missing" location of their "ru_abm_moscow_03_s" picture. Originally I was hoping to find the last (eighth) Site. But meanwhile for me it is sure that the guys from globalsecurity just picked out one (!) real ex-Galosh Site - a site which was discussed several month ago in this thread (Nudol). All the other pictures have nothing to do with Long Range ABM Systems.
The missing one show a location next to "Klimovsk", south of Moscow in between the outer and inner layer of that "ABM Rings". For me it looks like an industrial facility. It is on High Res! But I would like to know your opinion!
In my placemark I collected together all the five globalsecurity "sites" (acc. to their numbering of that pictures, seen if you download them) and with that overlays you can see that four of that sites are unreliable:
-Site "1 and 2" (picture number acc. globalsecurity) are indeed do not show two different sites but one identical location at Kolodkino. Regarding our "Shape and Structure Discussion" I don't think that this is an ABM Site (in the vicinity, 8km to the north-west, there is the real "Naro-Fominsk-10" Gorgon-Site) -
Site "3" is "my new finding Klimovsk". I think this is totally unreliable.
Site "4" is "Kurilovo". But appart from the "wrong structure" this is most probable a part of a Satellite Control and Communication Center for early-warning satellites called "Serpukhov-15" and no ABM Site at all.
Site "5" is "Nudol", the only reliable site of those globalsecurity pictures.
Best Regards from Rambo54
