I'm working with several ngo's both here and there in Pakistan. We couldn't find good, accurate datasets for placemarks. So I converted the GeoNet database dump from August 2005 to KML - a huge amount of data. If you have to find particular places, it's quite helpful. We're using it as a base dataset and annotating our own copy as we go, which we're sharing with our partners and others who are delivering critical aid as winter sweeps in.
