> You've included a Swedish outbreak - this is not the H5 flu strain, though one of four birds had a milder form - confirmed earlier today.

It is H5, so will be included in my mapping and will await the further test results that are due out in ten days. There should also be an OIE report as H5 is reportable.

>And so as not to worry the gentle hearted, perhaps you should only add placemarks when the H5 strain is confirmed.....

It is clear which placemarks are confirmed and which are not... Myself and others like to be aware of locations that are pending test results.

> It may or may not mutate - until it does I won't be staying awake at night.

So mutation is your trigger point?
Good for you, at least you have a plan
My trigger point keeps moving every time it's reached... heh.
