But it's a different paradigm. What I wanted, was a quick overview: To see the flags as icons, and, when clicking on them, get a brief description of what I'm looking at.

As the source for this description I chose the CIA's World Factbook, because you can get a wide range of further geographic and geopolitcal information on their pages.

Your set is a great resource for deeper research! If you know your destination, you can choose a wide array of sources! This is why your post is in the 'Travel Information' forum and mine in the 'Nature and Geography' one.

As we're both using the same coordinates, our two sets are not really easy to lay over each other, but with a little aiming, you can toggle between your icons and my flags, and use them both simultaneously.

But nonetheless, I might take your inspiration and add Google- and Wikipedia-links to the balloons .
