Data availability was never a principle problem.
During Leg one there where a few days where the server from Volvooceanrace.org was down for up to one hour or so which crashed my programm because i did not implement enough error handling routines.

Basically I implemented some random timing between my page hits to simulate a human user instead of downloading always the same 8 pages within a few seconds.

As the information is published on the info page for each boat and the data is dinamically fed from a CMS system I would guess they will not want to compleately redo their web page just to keep me out...

The most tricky part was to extract the data from the Web page as the layout is adjusted quite often.
