Yes, that is a network link. The current maps are working drafts, with the emphasis on reliability -- reporting only validated data, and keeping these updated. But I'm progessively improving the presentation, functionality, and external linking, whenever I have a bit of time -- I do these maps in my spare time. More complete and polished versions will be available at the Nature site at some point, when I've taken these working drafts forward a bit more.
I am also working with scientists on some GIS data analysis, which will generate additional more sophisticated maps that will address specific questions about avian flu. I will keep the board posted on developments.
