Thanks very much. This is a very good idea, and ideally suited to these sort of data which have a strong time component. I agree that this is probably worth adding. Though with time series, only available in the Enterprise Client version -- my understanding as well -- most people wouldn't benefit.
Maybe Google will make time-series available in some of the less-expensive versions? Meanwhile, though that gives me an idea; by rearranging the folders and views better I might be able to come up a poor-man's time version, using the play tour feature -- though doing it for each outbreak would be too long-winded and not mean a lot; maybe some sort of summary. Or maybe make a movie version, which would have the added advantage of also allowing one to better explain what is going on using an audio overlay.
On the more GIS side, the nuclear test example is interesting in that it uses heights to show the size of the tests; similarly with flu outbreaks I'm trying to access/process data to give a better idea on the size of outbreaks, and extrude these in a similar way. Watch this space ;->
