The answer to this is more of a yes / no.

No there were no ICBM sites but there were two Nike/Hercules sites (they are marked on GE). The rumor mill started when the Hercules were installed along side the Ajax. Hercules missles carried a W-31 warhead that was aviable in 3, 20, and 30 Kiloton yeilds, starting the "omg theres a nuke in my backyard" rumors. Plus the fact that these sites were active from November 1960 to June 1966 didnt help stop those LBJ rumors much.
