Others are having this problem with 9.0, so any information helps. The issue with pop-up forms is a known one, and the registry thing should have helped, but the ArcScan warning is strange. I'm thinking that when I'm in VB, I may have a bunch of unneccesary ESRI libraries turned on. I will look into it -- thanks for your patience.
