I have bad news for you...the icon changing bug is NOT fixed.

I have this problem with my PatiCat cruising KMZ which you can download here (NOTE: this is a 2.5 MByte file)

NOTE: This file in my Places folders after opening and closing GE a few times suddenly has random placemark icons changes.

If I open the file from the saved file the icons are back to normal.
