After upgrading to the 0.762 version of GE, all of my (previously working) overlays with transparent portions will not load - producing the error "Could not load image" when GE was starting to open my "My Places" file (nothing else had been changed between running the old version and installing the new one). On all previous versions of GE, the overlays have worked fine - transparent gifs up to 5000 x 3000 pix max dimensions.

To try and overcome the problem (working in Corel Photopaint), I tried reformatting the overlays to transparent gifs of lower pixel dimensions (eg down to 1500 pix max dimensions) and also the same files as transparent png files. I tried changing the palettes used to create the gif files and even exporting the same file as a non-transparent gif / png file. GE would not load any of these files. I then tried exporting the file as a jpg file (thereby loosing the option of transparency which I really need) and the jpg file would load with no problems in GE (at any dimension produced)..... I've even tried deleting my cache, and that hasn't helped......

Any ideas anyone (I tried searching for similar posts in vain!)? With thanks in advance!
