this theory as reported by BBC News last June.
According Dr. Rainer W. Khne (University of Wuppertal, Germany) working on a theory proposed by Werner Wickboldt, the lost city could have been in a salt marsh region known as Marisma de Hinojos on the southern Spanish coast, in an area destroyed by a flood between 800 BC and 500 BC.
They believe satellite photos show the two temple sites amid a series of concentric rings and other geographic features as described by Plato in
Critias and
Timaios.
I placed the overlay images in this folder per a lengthy discussion by Dr. Khne on
this forum
Maybe it's true.
