Glad to help. Actually the VDNKh Expo Center is a pretty neat place; it was a huge park built to celbrate the triumphs of Socialism. It consists of a series of pavillions dedicated to the different areas of sciences, agriculture, politics etc.

The site you originally marked was the Transport pavillion, consisting of several exhibit halls and a pretty nice display of the Vostok launch vehicle, and Tu-154 and Yak-42 airliners parked side-by-side. This precise location appears briefly but clearly in the film The Russia House, when Sean Connery and Michelle Pfeiffer meet while ostensibly attending a book fair in Moscow.

Most of the exhibit halls are now either in disuse or occupied by "retailers of the moment", in sort of a perverse shopping mall atmosphere. One large car audio company sells equipment from one of the buildings, while another may sell home appliances. They do a good business, but never seem to "officially" occupy the space.

If in Moscow, bring walking shoes and stroll the ground. Nice photo opportunities, but best taken at a wide angle or from a broader perspective to cover the blemishes showing on the aging structures. Moscow does not understand the concepts of "dainty" or "understated"; but if you want "grandiose" on a blunt force kind of scale, this is certainly the place to be.
