As I know not the summit of Mont Blanc is the highest point of Italy bcause the frontier France/Italy is a littlle beside the frontier on the french side. The highst point is somewhat lower.

The highest peak of Italy is the Mont Blanc the Courmayeur, a secondary peak of the Mont Blanc with 4748 m.
