This is a terrible abuse of a great resource provided by Google Earth. These spirals have nothing to do with geographical information and everything to do with propaganda against the liberation of Iraq. The spirals make the Google Earth Community layer virtually useless in Iraq. Why can't purblind horus make these spirals a downloadable layer that can be turned on and off? Instead, she thinks she has the right to monopolize the entire Google Earth Community screen.
Why stop at the U.S.-Iraq conflict? How about the 1 million plus who perished in Saddam's war on Iran or the hundreds of thousands that Saddam slaughtered in domestic repression? What about the 3.8 million dead since 1998 in Congo (that's about 115 times the U.S.-Iraq war). Why not color the continents of Europe and Asia blue (and obscure everybody else's posts) with gigantic spirals for the 62 million dead in WW II?
All I ask is that purblind horus to make her spirals voluntary for the Google Earth Community users who actually wish to see something other than her spirals.
