I admit with such a long post I haven't ready it all yet, but a few pointer from a speed read, will do better later

Google Earth doesn't have a way to read the mouse pointer for traditional KML developer like me I think it might be possible with the COM-API, but that is over my head! Of course its hopefully only time until GE does it natively

To actully load data its not directly possible with GE, but conversion tools could probably manage it. If you let me know what format you have the data might be able to suggest something.

I would also be very interested in seeing VC's enabled in GE, once tried, but never found a good source to the data.
