bigfoot search helpfull hint I am from Mission, British Columbia where I noticed one of your bigfoot posts purely by chance. I noticed you asked for ways to make the information more clear and accessible. Put the word bigfoot, or sasquatch as i know it, in your placemark titles. I dont believe numbers draw enough attention. Anyway just a thought. Good luck with your project.
Thanks for the feedback. I understand and agree with your point. When these placemarks are viewed within the community layer it is not at all clear what they refer to, so I have already considered adding more info to the placemark names to address this.
But here is the other side of the coin. While I appreciate that the moderators have included this project in the community layers I really did not create this file in order for it to be displayed in a layer with all sorts of other attractions. Rather the idea is to download the ,kmz file and use it on a stand alone basis. When using the data this way adding more information to the names becomes superfluous and only increases the screen clutter, which is bad enough already with over 4,000 placemarks. So unless someone can come up with another idea I like better, I plan to leave the names as they are now even though it leaves things unclear in the community layer.
Since your are from BC, I'll call your attention to the web site of the Western Canadian Sasquatch Research Organization . This is one of several groups whose data I have not yet found time to include in my project. Any volunteers?
