Fake photo - Hanyuan palace, Xi'an, China?

The Google Earth image for this site seems to show a completed (or partly so) reconstruction of the Tang Dynasty Hanyuan Hall - however, photos from the site from May, 2008 show only foundation/plinth reconstruction. Is the Google Earth photo a fake? (I'm pretty sure that the photos - from a friend - are not fake or incorrectly dated).
