As with so many others who've replied to this thread, you've failed to read the entire thing. Here are a few salient points for you:

1. This series of marks came as a request by members and readers to provide a balance to the other half of the compilation - US/Coalition Casualties.

2. The spiral pattern was suggested by one of GE's programmers as a viable method of displaying a HUGE number of marks. Also, exact geographic info is not available for a vast number of the casualties, other than city or neighborhood.

3. Any political machinations you see in this are only what you bring to the discussion yourself.

4. As noted several times in the discussions above, the posting and placemark has been removed from the actively scraped forum and placed here in Current Events. The globe will clear itself of the actual placemarks on the next update.
