As you have noticed, GE is used for various aim and one of them is "History Illustrated". But politics and religion is not welcome.

The icon you have in your GE comes from the History layer and users have the option to uncheck the layers they dont wish. As long as you are in the line of history-related facts without going into a political discussion, you are doing well sharing your knowledge about the "facts".

It is like "the Apachis were inhabiting here", and nothing else and nothing to offend.
