Seer, that baseball field is in "Cargo City" area of the PHL airport. Union regulations there require cargo handlers to play at least 6 hours of ball per shift. Result is to delay commercial shipments. Baggage delays at PHL are due to the fact that the Mayor's brother runs the baggage operation.
P.S. In keeping with the title of this forum, a mile away is the Gulf refinery, which was once on fire and the bridge just to the east had to be closed because of the smoke. I myself had to find another way to the airport that day.
