Yup, that's right. Sorry, everyone.
My server takes a bit of attention to keep it running smoothly (I never did get around to getting that new version really stable yet, sorry).. And since I'm going out of town for two weeks tomorrow, I'm not going to be able to keep an eye on it very easily. Rather than get lots of PMs asking why it's not working (you guys almost always let me know it's broken before I even notice!), I replaced it with a very small KML explaining that it's out of service.
If someone else would like to host it for me, you're welcome to grab a copy of the executable from
here. It requires Windows, the .NET Framework 1.1 (available via Windows Update), a negligible amount of bandwidth and processor time, any web server, and a restart every 24 hours or so (I can't seem to figure out why, though.)
All it does is write out a busses.kml file to its working (it's own, usually) directory with the current bus location data.. it's up to you to make sure that everyone else's copy of Earth can get to that file (I use IIS, Apache should work just as well).
As for those of you who want my source code.. I'm sorry I promised it earlier, but as it turns out my boss wants me to register it with the campus publications office so we can establish proof of copyright and put in the licensing text and everything. :P
Since I'm going to be out of town, I'm going to be unable to do that until I get back. Sorry.
