Draw Square Box from origin and setup construction lines:




to draw the above image:

rectangle tool: click origin and type in 20',10' then enter

push/pull tool: click surface of rectangle mouse up and type in 20' then enter

measure tool: click vertical side of box, mouse over to the right type in 2' then enter (do the same for horizontal construction line)









to create construction line array above

move tool: hold down ctrl key and click vertical construction line, mouse over to the right and type in 2' and enter

type in 9x and enter (do the same for horizontal const line)










rectangle tool: draw square on surface (utilize construction line crossings as corner reference pts)

select tool: hold shift key and select outside lines of rectangle and inner surface (all should highlight in yellow)

move tool: use copy/move sequence to create array of squares on horizontal and vertical












remove construction lines: edit pulldown menu > construction geometry > erase all

Copy Rotate:



create the above with arc, circle and push/pull tool and select all with selection tool








copy rotate sequence at top of cylinder, (hold down ctrl key and use rotate tool)

for rotation type in 22.5, then type in 16x and press enter











turn off surfaces by clicking wireframe icon

select all lines, right click , then select hide

turn surfaces back on with surfaces & textures icon
