Alexandria, Va.:
Here's a building to get things started, the 1940 Pope-Leighey House, a Usonian house now owned by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The Usonians were small, less-expensive homes FLW designed for the "common man," as opposed to his no-expenses-spared buildings such as Fallingwater. Originally located in Falls Church, the house has been moved twice, and is now open to the public for tours.
