The house was originally in-line in plan, but the original carport area was enclosed to create a playroom and shop (the wing to the right in the picture above.) The design is a variant of the Usonian Exhibition house that Wright created for the Sixty Years of Living Architecture exhibit held in New York (at the future site of the Gugenheim Museum) in 1953.
