Chalk Hill, Pa.: Isaac Newton Hagan House (1954)
Now known as Kentuck Knob, this handsome Usonian house is only a few miles from its spectacular cousin, Fallingwater. Constructed of native sandstone and Tidewater red cypress, the home is now owned by Lord Peter Palumbo, an English real estate developer who "collects" architecture, along with modern art. This is a much more livable home than Fallingwater; in fact, the Palumbos actually do occupy the home for a couple of weeks a year. The rest of the time the house is open for tours -- click here for further information.
