well i suppose is a good argue against the new hypothesis by Bittlestone and his book "Odysseus Unbound". if indeed this summer Archaiologists confirm the location odysseus palace it would very simple that modern Ithaki is the homeric Homeric. i post a ouple of pictures from the excavation site.

The Area is called by locals as "School of Homer", it also appears with this name in France and Venetian maps.
The structure has reveal Early Greek, Byzantine, Roman, Greek and Mycenaean debris
in a couple of the last ones there are painted figures from the odyssey and confirmed (also scientificly publised) Linear B LEtters
now in greece Linear B has only be found in and Palaces and royal complexes providing clues of nobility in an area and higher status.
I hope someone has a more concrete idea about the last undiscovered ancient greek palace
