This is a map of Northern Areas that I casually photographed in 2002 in low-light (with an IS camera), it was of little use alone becasue the text is so small that it's unreadable (even though it was a 'cutting edge' 2 megapixel image back then ).

The map can now be used for the boundaries of the six Districts of Northern Areas (I just put that list on wiki yesterday). This map can be used as an overlay in Google Earth and clearly shows what lies in which district (but this map is old, Astore district was carved out of Diamer District later on in 2004, works for all other boundaries).

It is advisable to use some other collection of placemarks that lists the peaks, glaciers, river, towns etc of the Northern Areas.
