The DEW line was officially closed in 1993, but the North(ern?) Warning System (NWS) replaced it at a number of sites, and is still in operation.

This web page gives the details on each site, when it stopped DEW line operation, and if it is now a NWS site.

Some of the guys I work with have worked on the NWS system in the past few years.
