No problem. Has Anyone thought to ask NOAA and NASA if they or their subsidiaries would be willing to pre-generate the maps we could use to fold over the globe?

I suspect they may tell Gogle to download them and provide them themselves, but I've never heard of government agencies whining about bandwidth. I wouldn't think it would be much of a problem for them to set things up to generate a few more maps, seeing as how they are already in the business of supplying dozens, if not hundreds of different ones already.
