This is brilliant, Chris. Thanks. I use it to open up google earth every day, and it regularly gives me a thrill to see the dynamics of the cloud cover.

I have zero programming skills, otherwise I would do this myself, but it there anyway to make the 'day' part of the real time day and night overlay totally transparent through an alpha channel?

Just a thought.
