My comment is directed at the GE admins. GE is getting terribly cluttered with placemarks that don't help at all. This collection is an example. If you download this collection and use it, it's just great. All the placemarks work together to give you coherent information about storms in the Atlantic.
But, when these placemarks are made part of the Community layer in GE, the icons all become little "i"s, and there is nothing to tie them into anything meaningful, especially when all you see when you mouse over them is a date&time.
How is the determination made as to which placemarks should go into the Community Layer and which shouldn't? If there isn't a good set of rules, there should be. It's gotten to the point that I almost never turn on the Community Layer 'cause it's so damned cluttered.
One caveat: How did I find this thread? By clicking on one of those little "i"s out in the middle of the Atlantic. That little "i" got me to this nice collection. But all those little "i"s, by themselves, are simply clutter.
