A famous symbol of the international style, the Lakepoint Towers designed by Mies van der Rohe students John Heinrich and George Schipporeit, supposedly based on a 1921 van der Rohe sketch.Completed in 1968, it was the highest apartment building in the world for a while.

Over 115.6 smoots high it has 70 floors. There was supposed to be two other identical towers on each side of this one.
