Thanks for finding Alexandre Dumas's house which he called "Chteau de Monte-Cristo", after his famous character. Here is Chteau d'If, the prison-island from which Edmond Dants escapes later to become the Count of Monte-Cristo, in Alexandre Dumas's masterpiece.

Although Monte-Cristo was fictitious, Abbot Faria, the prisoner who becomes his friend, really existed.
