These 88+ points of interest along the San Andreas fault in California were located with the help of the USGS Quaternary and active fault traces posted elsewhere in the Google Earth Community pages. Also located via field trip experience.
Places show geological evidence of the fault, potential hazards, and a couple of research locations (trenches near Lancaster and the SAFOD).
I've noticed discrepencies of the fault location between sources posted on the GE community pages, so some of the places here may vary from "ground truth."
We need more Geology places and tours posted!
