Here's another map overlay of Rome.

This one's ancient. It illustrates the vicinity of the Roman Forum at the time of the Republic - that's way back before the Coliseum (which opened A.D. 80) Some of the temples on this map are dated around 295 B.C. You can even find the supposed location of the Hut of Romulus.

Thanks to placemarks by Seer (Temple of Vesta, the Temple of Saturn, etc.), I think I've got it aligned about right. Wow, a lot has changed! I guess that's why they say "Rome wasn't built in a day."
