This overlay represents the primary battle areas of the Canadian Expeditionary Force in France and Belgium in 1918. The map is the left side of the inside back cover of Nicholson's text. It is oriented on the Somme River and the Belgian coast at that time. It depicts the movements from Amiens, the Drocourt-Queant Line, the Canal du Nord to Cambrai and the final advance to Mons.
