Please help me...
I am searching place "Sziragh" which was a name of village or place or region probably in the year 1743 somewhere in Central Europe (near Neogradiensi). I am sure that spelling is corect - I found this Latin sentence in a book "Ex comitatu Neogradiensi possessione Sziragh, 1743". Interesting is that Sziragh is not possible to find not only in google or other search engine but also on any of metasearch engines. I already tried all from http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/TeachingLib/Guides/Internet/MetaSearch.html
syzygy:
It is Szirk, Hungary.
Status: Village
County: Ngrd
Population: 1213
Area: 19,09 km2
Flats No.: 439
Postal ZIP code: 3044
credit: Populated places in Hungary v1.2 by BZoltan
Part of the Neogradiensis Euroregion.
This region is similar to Ngrd comitatus of historical Hungary.
After the ottoman rule the village has been re-populated with slovak (tt) inhabitants. (credit in placemark descript)
In 1743 Eszterhzy Pl built a baroque church in the neighbouring village Palots. By this time Palots belonged to the Szirk church course.
hope i could help!
