Contrary to popular belief, those are not in fact ABM sites. Those are 5V11 Dal SAM sites. The 5V11 did look similar to the V-1000 ABM, albeit with a different booster. It was the 5V11 SAM, not the V-1000 ABM, that was the "original" SA-5, codenamed GRIFFON. V-1000 was part of System A, the first ABM system concept in Russia. It was abandoned in favor of System A-35. V-1000 systems are said to have been tested at a range near Priozersk, Russia, but I'm still looking for more info on that.
