Howdy,

This file contains a track file of the Alabama Pinhoti trail, along with lots of placemarks and other info.

Currently this file contains the location of shelters, resupply points, trail towns (with tracks to them) and hundreds of blowdowns. The file also contains some mile markers based on Solo's Data Book. The blowdowns and mile markers are "unchecked" by default since they tend to crowd the screen. Just "re-check" them if you want to view them.

This is a very rough preliminary post. I have lots more data that I hope to incorporate into this file and others. In addition to the above items, I collected hundreds of placemarks for roads, water sources, campsites, bridges, fords, mountain summits, etc. for both the AL and GA Pinhoti. The accuracy of the data is good in some areas and bad in others. Check the above two posts for more info if you're interested.

Note: The blowdowns are indicated by 3 sizes: small, medium and large. (Bad) means that the blowdown was especially troublesome. "Old" means that the blowdown appeared to have been there a long long time, and was in the process of rotting away.

Thats it for now, I'll be posting more later on.
