There needs to be a way to "calibrate" this application at places other than the equator. Things tend to get scrunched (sp) as they get closer to the polar regions. I suggest having the program automatically correct accoring to your latitude (in the center of your view). I would like this to be the default; however, still allow one to overide and use the sliders to purposefully skew an object out of normal.

The attachment has the same object rendered at the Equator and in Northern Canada. Hope this helps.
