The image was made early in the day, fence posts and telephone poles are casting shadows NNW. The telephone pole shadows seemed to average 35 ft. in length which is close to the hight of the average telephone pole. Whatever the altitude of the plane, its shadow will lie roughly that same distance to the NNW. There are many forested areas in that direction that would make it difficult to identify.
