this is the same file i have attached in M&A forum. ****************************************************************************************** aerial photos and description of the ruins attached to this post. ****************************************************************************************** Csomorkány church ruins, Hódmezővásárhely, Hungary This Romanesque and Gothic church with its buttresses and an apse was built in the 13th and 14th centuries. The ruins were conserved around 1830.

geocaching.huNEW: 3D model of the ruins by BZoltan. The remains of the long, narrow, high edifice with its reticulated vaulting and buttresses can be seen to this day. Inside it was plastered by a mortar coloured with ground red sandstone. The walls were decorated with frescoes and the floor paved with fired tiles. Including the elongates apse it was nearly 27 metres long and 8 metres wide.
Established in the Árpád Age, Csomorkány developed into a market town in the 14th century. It was destroyed in 1596 and was never rebuilt again.
Can be visited at any time.
