Forget google earth, Try this go to maps.google.com in your browser and click on the satellite button and tell us if anything is showing up in your browser.

One more thing you might want to try is delete your hosts file.

Search your hard drive for a file called hosts no extension if found just delete it. It a favorite high jack spot for spyware. It rewrites that file so your DNS lookups are hijacked. It's a useful file but if it's been hijacked it useless so delete it. It not necessary for windows to work so don't worry about deleting it. It's just a txt file really.
