Just wanted to point out that Bernhard also wrote the very excellent GlobeGlider.net which lets you link Google Maps or even Virtual Earth directly to Google Earth. If you change your browser setting to let it use the internal browser of GE, and start up GlobeGlider there. You can move either the map or the GE view and it will automatically synchronize between the two. Especially cool if you do it with Virtual Earth Bird's Eye views, or the new VE 3D views.
